Council of Ministers of BiH - Bylaws reffering to BAS standards
Within activities carried out by the Institute for Standardization of BiH in the previous period, which were related to the identification of laws and bylaws referring to BAS standards, it was established that the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted 35 such regulations.

What is a standard, a regulation, and what is a technical regulation? Although there is a connection between standards and regulations, especially technical, they are completely different categories of documents, both in terms of the way they are adopted and in terms of their application.
Date of application of Medical Devices Regulation postponed until May 2021
Medical devices play a significant role in the field of global health. The Medical Devices Regulation (2017/745-MDR) and the In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation (2017/746-IVDR) entered into force in 2017, with a transition period of three years.

Information and documentation emergency preparedness and response
The first edition of the international standard ISO 21110: 2019 - Information and documentation - Emergency preparedness and response, which was published by ISO in August 2019, is now being adopted by the Technical Committee BAS/TC 44.

New original standardization documents for Eurocodes
Technical Committee BAS/TC 58, Design of construction structures – Eurocode EN 1990, Eurocodes 1, 7, 8 and 9, has prepared and published the following BiH standardization documents: BAS EN 1991-4/NA:2020, BAS EN 1991-2/NA:2020, BAS EN 1998-4/NA:2020.
European Commission published guidance on personal protective equipment, leave-on hand cleaners and hand disinfectants and 3D printing
Following the publication of Recommendation (EU) 2020/403 of 13 March 2020 on conformity assessment and market surveillance procedures within the context of the COVID-19 threat, on 30 March 2020, the European Commission published guidelines to assist manufacturers of masks and other personal protective equipment, hand cleaners and hand disinfectants and 3D printing.
Extended list of free standards
As you have already been informed, the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), after the urgent request from the European Commission, have agreed to make freely available a series of European standards for medical devices and personal protective equipment used in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic to all stakeholders.
