17th Conference of BH K CIGRE
The 17th Conference of the BiH National Committee of the International Council on Large Electric Systems (BH K/O CIGRE) was held in Neum from 12 to 15 October 2025.
The BH K/O CIGRE has reaffirmed its commitment to continue addressing key issues and providing support in tackling new challenges related to meeting the requirements of the energy transition. Compared to previous conferences, the range of topics has been expanded to include: resilience strengthening, hydrogen, battery energy storage, solar and wind power plants, networks and flexibility, interconnections and cross-border cooperation, consumer and prosumer participation, electromobility, sustainability and climate, system integration, cybersecurity, digitalization (including artificial intelligence), new technologies, and nuclear energy as a stable source.
17th BH K/O CIGRE Conference brought together more than 500 participants. During the event, 150 professional and scientific papers were presented, along with three keynote presentations, two panel discussions, and eleven company presentations.
Within Study Committee B1 – Cables, a paper titled Work of the Technical Committee BAS/TC 30 – Electric Cables within the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2024 was also presented.
Through this paper, the authors Mijo Terkeš, chairman of BAS/TC 30, Electric cables and Ivona Pikić-Hart, technical secretary and coordinator of BAS/TC 30 aimed to acquaint the members, friends, and supporters of BH K/O CIGRE with the activities of the Technical Committee BAS/TC 30 during 2024. The Committee, which has 17 members, has for many years actively participated in the work of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina and contributed to its promotion through its responsibilities and tasks.
The Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented at the conference by Ivona Pikić-Hart, Expert Associate, and Miljan Vasković, Expert Associate.
