Electrical engineering students visit the Institute for Standardization of BiH
On June 4, students of the third and fourth year of the Electrical Engineering Faculty of the University of East Sarajevo visited the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The visit aimed to familiarize students with the Institute's work, the importance of standardization across various industries, and the practical application of standards.
The visit began with an introductory address by the Institute's director, Mr. Aleksandar Todorović, who welcomed the students and emphasized the significance of educating young professionals about standardization. Following this, representatives from the Department for Electrical Engineering Standardization gave a presentation on the crucial role of standards in ensuring product and service quality, protecting consumers, and facilitating international trade.
Institute representatives also thoroughly explained the role of technical committees in the development and revision of standards, inviting students to actively participate in these processes in the future.
Students actively engaged in a discussion, asking questions about the challenges in implementing standards, the digitalization of standardization processes, and future trends in this field. They expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the Institute's work and the career possibilities that standardization opens up for them.
