In accordance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) no. 1025/2012 governing the European standardization system, each European and national standardization body shall, at least once a year, establish its Work Programme.

Those national standardization bodies which have accepted the WTO TBT Code of Good Practice for the Preparation, Adoption and Application of Standards are under the obligation to publish their Work Programme. The acceptance of the Code of Good Practice is laid down in the WTO Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade.
