On Tuesday, October 6, 2015, in Mostar, the representatives of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a Memorandums of understanding and cooperation with the Deans of three Faculties of the University of Mostar and three Faculties of the University “Džemal Bijedić”. Memorandums were signed with the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology, Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science and the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Mostar, and the Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University “Džemal Bijedić”.

On the basis of the signed memorandums, the parties will be able to exchange information, written materials and experiences, and work together in the field of adoption, development and implementation of standards.
Cooperation also refers to introducing students to the basic concepts of standards and standardization so that after the completion of their regular education and prior to new employment they can become familiar with these concepts. In this regard, we will make joint efforts to introduce the standardization as a subject in the Curriculum of all study cycles in these Faculties.

The memorandum allows the involvment of professors and assistants in the work of the technical committees of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the publication of research papers and articles in the Bulletin of the Institute.

On the other hand, the Institute will participate in expert meetings and seminars to be organized by those Faculties through its standardization experts who will address the importance and role of standards in certain specific topics related to these seminars and meetings.

Management of the Institute has recognized the academic community of Bosnia and Herzegovina as one of the most important stakeholders, and has launched activities  of signing the memorandums of understanding and cooperation with Faculties of all BiH Universities. In addition to these Faculties, the Institute has signed a Memorandum of understanding and cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of East Sarajevo.
