From 21 to 25 September 2026, the 15th Conference on Electricity Distribution Networks was held at Kopaonik, organized by the National Committee of CIRED Serbia, in cooperation with other committees and companies, as well as experts from Serbia and the region. The Conference was attended by a large number of representatives of electric distribution companies, faculties of electrical engineering and research institutes, as well as design, manufacturing and contracting companies.

CIRED (Congrès International des Réseaux Electriques de Distribution) is an international conference on electricity distribution and a leading forum for bringing together the international electricity distribution community. The purpose of CIRED is to enhance the professional capabilities, skills and knowledge of those involved in CIRED activities.

As in previous years, the Conference programme included both scientific and commercial activities. A total of 92 scientific papers were presented, and seven expert panels, round-table discussions and an opening panel discussion were held. The commercial part of the programme included 17 business presentations and featured more than 45 sponsor and exhibitor companies in the exhibition area.

The objectives of the Conference were to exchange knowledge and experience on common issues related to the development of technology, reorganization and modernization of electricity distribution in the countries of the region, which have similar levels of technical development and electricity distribution practices. The countries of the region also face similar challenges in the operation and management of distribution networks, as well as in the processes of restructuring, deregulation and privatization of the electricity sector and the opening of electricity markets.

The Conference was primarily intended for managers of electricity distribution companies; engineers and experts; users and maintenance engineers of enectricity distribution equipment; manufacturers of equipment in energy and power distribution; professors and researchers; consultants and designers; the professional community as a whole in the field of electricity distribution; and other interested individuals.

The participants in the 15th CIRED Conference on Electricity Distribution Networks on behalf of the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina were Željka Popić, Senior Associate for Electrical Engineering Standardization, and Miljan Vasković, Associate for Electrical Engineering Standardization.
