On May 29, 2023, the Institute for Standardization of BiH held a webinar for the members of Technical Committees (BAS/TCs) on „Participation in the work of international standardization”. 45 members attended this webinar.

Tihomir Anđelić, head of the department for general standardization, introduced the participants to the role and importance of the participation of Technical Committees of ISBIH in international standardization work, roles in committees/subcommittees/working groups, the way of working at meetings, document dissemination, and the results of the BAS/TC to date in international standardization activities.

Biljana Baljaj, senior expert associate for general standardization, presented the process of development of an international standard that defines all stages of its development, types of documents that are developed, and the voting method.

Hereafter, M.Sc. Katarina Hafner-Vuk, head of the laboratory for precious metals and reference materials at the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina, presented her positive experiences in the work of the working group of the international committee, that is, participating in the session of the international subcommittee.

ISBIH will continue to organize this type of training in the future.
