New edition of BAS EN 590:2022 published by translation method

A new edition of BAS EN 590:2022, Automotive fuels - Diesel - Requirements and test methods, has been published. The standard was adopted by translating the European standard EN 590:2022, Automotive fuels - Diesel - Requirements and test methods.

EN 590:2022 was prepared by the European Technical Committee CEN/TC 19, Gaseous and liquid fuels, lubricants and related products, of petroleum, synthetic and biological origin, whose secretariat is held by NEN (Netherlands Institute for Standardization). The standard was adopted through the BiH Technical Committee BAS/TC 11, Oil and oil derivatives.

BAS EN 590:2022 specifies requirements and test methods for marketed and delivered automotive diesel fuels. It is applicable to automotive diesel fuel for use in diesel engine vehicles designed to run on automotive diesel fuel containing up to 7% (V/V) Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME).

BAS EN 590:2022 also contains National Annex that define national requirements for:

·         sampling;

·         climate conditions.
