ISBIH Hosts Meeting of Regional Standardization Bodies

On 11 and 12 May 2026, the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ISBIH) hosted a meeting of regional standardization bodies attended by representatives of the Institute for Standardization of Serbia (ISS), the Croatian Standards Institute (HZN), and the Institute for Standardization of Montenegro (ISME).

According to the meeting agenda, special attention was devoted to information systems for managing the standardization process, SMART standards, and approaches in the context of pressures related to the transformation of business models. Discussions were also held on possibilities for project-based financing of the development of language resources and translation tools, including terminology databases and the application of LLM/AI solutions. The final topic of this meeting, which was also considered highly significant, focused on the second generation of Eurocodes, their adoption, translation, and the development of national annexes.

The delegations of the national standardization bodies included: ISBIH Director Aleksandar Todorović and associates, ISS Director Tatjana Bojanić and associates, HZN Director Ana Marija Boljanović and associates, and ISME Director Zoran Glomazić and associates.

The aim of such meetings is to strengthen regional cooperation and exchange experiences in the field of standardization, particularly in the context of accelerated digital and technological transformation.
